Why Your Site Isn’t Getting Leads – And How to Fix It

Yo, what’s good? Josh here from Outword Marketing, and man… I gotta vent for a sec.

So I’m at this networking thing last week, right? And this dude – let’s call him Steve – comes up to me looking all defeated. He’s like “Bro, I spent twenty freaking grand on this website and it ain’t doing jack for my business.”

I’m thinking… here we go again.

Look, I’ve been in this game for a while now, and lemme tell you – most websites are basically expensive digital lawn ornaments. Pretty to look at, but they don’t do squat for your bottom line.

Your Website Ain’t Getting Leads Because You Screwed Up
Harsh? Maybe. True? Absolutely.

I see the same crap over and over. Business owners throwing money at fancy designs, smooth animations, and all that flashy stuff that looks cool but doesn’t make the phone ring.

Here’s the deal – your website’s job isn’t to win design awards. It’s to turn visitors into customers. Period.

You’re Getting the Wrong People
First off, getting traffic is easy. Any idiot can drive traffic to a website. But getting the RIGHT traffic? That’s where most people mess up big time.

I worked with this plumber once – nice guy, terrible at marketing. His website was getting like 3,000 visitors a month. Sounds good, right? Wrong. Know what kind of traffic he was getting? DIY enthusiasts looking for free advice.

Dude was ranking for “how to fix a leaky faucet yourself” instead of “emergency plumber near me.” So he’s basically teaching people NOT to hire him. Genius move, right?

The fix? Stop trying to be helpful to cheapskates who’ll never pay you anyway. Focus on people who actually need your services and have money to spend.
