Dehydrated veins often appear small, flat, and less prominent under the skin. They can be harder to see or feel, especially in areas commonly used for drawing blood or inserting IVs. The skin around them may look dry or less elastic, and the veins may collapse easily when pressure is applied. This is due to reduced blood volume and lower tissue hydration.
